OBSTACLES
Obstacles is an instrumental rock quartet playing complex rock music with an incredible energy. Drums, bass, guitar and keys might be a classic instrumentation but Obstacles sounds nothing like classic rock. This is unpredictable, challenging and catchy as hell.
Obstacles has released one EP ("Decomposition of Movement") and two 7"´s("Obstacles" and "Obstacles/Auxes") on different labels and now they are working on their debut album to be released on Play/Rec August 2010. Recordings for the album have taken place in the great Sauna Studios in Copenhagen as well as at Obstacles newly build rehearsal/recording facility. Jakob Reichert Nielsen (Lack, Rising, Menfolk etc.) is in charge of recording and will also be mixing the album. Jakob also worked with Obstacles on the two 7"s and everybody involved have been so pleased with the process and results that they have decided to continue the cooperation on a full album.Obstacles live shows are not to be missed. Not only is this a tight unit - to a level that is almost scary - Obstacles can also create a engaging vibe which is not often seen on the so called "Indie rock scene" today. Members of the band have been touring Europe for the last 10 years in different band constellations and this live experience really shows when Obstacles enters the stage. Expect to be blown away.
